Background

The International Trade Administration and/or International Trade Commission have recently announced the following actions in antidumping and/or countervailing duty cases.

Abrasive grains – final affirmative AD and CVD determinations on sol gel alumina-based ceramic abrasive grains from China, with dumping margin of 88.32 percent and net subsidy rate of 165.05 percent

Carbon – dumping margins of $1.30/kg to $1.41/kg in preliminary results of administrative review of AD order on activated carbon from China for the period April 1, 2023, through March 31, 2024

Hot-rolled steel – dumping margins of zero and 29.7 percent in final results of administrative review of AD order on hot-rolled steel flat products from Japan for the period Oct. 1, 2022, through Sept. 30, 2023

Rail couplers – initiation of AD investigations of freight rail couplers from the Czech Republic and India and CVD investigation of such goods from India, with comments on the scope of these investigations due by Sept. 2

Torsion springs – final affirmative AD and CVD determinations on overhead door counterbalance torsion springs from China, dumping margins of 734.33 and 778.31 percent, net subsidy rate of 257.46 percent, and final affirmative critical circumstances determinations in part
