Background

The International Trade Administration and/or International Trade Commission have recently announced the following actions in antidumping and/or countervailing duty cases. For more information on AD/CVD issues, including how to mitigate liability, please contact STR.

Electrical steel – continuation of AD and/or CVD orders on non-oriented electrical steel from China, Germany, Japan, South Korea, Sweden, South Korea, and Taiwan, effective May 13, 2026

Engines – preliminary determination that imports of certain vertical shaft engines produced in and exported from China constitute later-developed merchandise that circumvents the AD and CVD orders on vertical shaft engines and parts thereof from China

Mushrooms – preliminary affirmative CVD determination on fresh mushrooms from Canada and new CVD cash deposit requirement, effective May 18, 2026, at rates of 1.62 to 4.97 percent

PET resin – dumping margin of 2.82 percent in final results of administrative review of AD order on polyethylene terephthalate resin from Oman for the period May 1, 2023, through April 30, 2024

Silicomanganese – dumping margin of 0.53 percent in final results of administrative review of AD order on silicomanganese from India for the period May 1, 2023, through April 30, 2024
