Export Committees on Regulations, Materials to Meet

The Bureau of Industry and Security’s Regulations and Procedures Technical Advisory Committee will hold a partially open meeting Dec. 11 in Washington, D.C. This committee advises BIS on implementation of the Export Administration Regulations and provides for continuing review to update the EAR as needed. Topics for the open session of the upcoming meeting include export enforcement, regulations, and the Automated Export System.

The BIS Materials TAC will hold a partially open meeting Nov. 15 in Washington, D.C. This committee advises BIS on technical questions that affect the level of export controls applicable to materials and related technology. The open session will include reports from working groups and regime representatives.

The open sessions of each of these meetings will be available via teleconference to 20 participants on a first come, first served basis. Requests to participate in these teleconferences are due by Dec. 4 and Nov. 8, respectively. In addition, a limited number of seats will be available at each public session, but reservations are not permitted.
