- creation of 21 new classification opinions and deletion of two existing opinions

- initiation of discussions on the development of the correlation tables between the HS 2028 and HS 2022 editions, which will serve as an essential reference tool for the effective implementation of the HS 2028 amendments (click here and here for more information on these amendments)

- adoption of an improved format of the correlation tables with the aim of enhancing clarity and usability

The HSC’s responsibilities include issuing decisions on the interpretation of the Harmonized Commodity Description and Coding System, which can take the form of published tariff classification opinions or amendments to the Explanatory Notes. The committee also considers amendments to the legal text of the Harmonized System.
