Background

The International Trade Administration and/or International Trade Commission have recently announced the following actions in antidumping and/or countervailing duty cases.

Abrasive grains – scheduling of final phase of AD/CV injury investigations on sol gel alumina-based ceramic abrasive grains from China, including Aug. 7 public hearing

Corrosion-resistant steel – dumping margins of 51.64 to 178.89 percent in amended preliminary affirmative dumping determination on corrosion-resistant steel products from Vietnam

Cranes – preliminary affirmative AD injury determination on lattice-boom crawler cranes from Japan

MSG – final determination that imports of monosodium glutamate completed in Malaysia using glutamic acid produced in China are circumventing the AD duty order on MSG from China and new AD cash deposit requirement on imports of such goods

Xanthan gum – dumping margins of zero and 6.46 percent in final results of administrative review of AD duty order on xanthan gum from China for the period July 1, 2022, through June 30, 2023
