Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg Trade Report

The Treasury Department’s Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau is accepting comments through Nov. 26 on the proposed extension without change of the following information collections.

Monthly Report – Importer of Tobacco Products or Processed Tobacco: Importers of tobacco products and processed tobacco must submit a monthly report on form TTB F 5220.6 to account for such products on hand, received, and removed.

Formula and Process for Domestic and Imported Alcohol Beverages: Alcohol beverage producers and importers must obtain formula approval from TTB for certain non-standard products to ensure that they are properly classified for excise tax purposes and properly labeled under the Federal Alcohol Administration Act. Currently, in lieu of the formula forms and letterhead notices specified in the TTB regulations and specific to each alcohol commodity (distilled spirits, wine, and beer/malt beverages), respondents may submit form TTB F 5100.51 or its electronic equivalent, Formulas Online.
