Materials Processing Equipment Exports
The Bureau of Industry and Security’s Materials Processing Equipment Technical Advisory Committee will hold a partially open meeting May 14 in Washington, D.C. This committee advises BIS on technical questions that affect the level of export controls applicable to materials processing equipment and related technology.
The open session of this meeting will include discussion on the results and proposals from the last Wassenaar Arrangement meeting and a report on proposed and recently issued changes to the Export Administration Regulations. Those wishing to attend this session via teleconference or in person must notify BIS by May 7.
Civil Nuclear Trade
The International Trade Administration’s Civil Nuclear Trade Advisory Committee will hold an open meeting May 22 in Washington, D.C. This committee advises the ITA on the development and administration of programs to expand U.S. exports of civil nuclear goods and services, including how U.S. civil nuclear goods and services export policies, programs, and activities will affect the U.S. industry’s competitiveness and ability to participate in the international market.
The upcoming meeting will include an update on the Civil Nuclear Trade Initiative and a discussion of civil nuclear trade promotion activities. Members of the public wishing to attend or submit written comments must notify the ITA by May 17.
