The United States has officially lifted most economic sanctions on Syria, delisting over 500 entities from the OFAC SDN list and ending a 20-year national emergency. However, targeted sanctions, export controls, and Syria’s designation as a State Sponsor of Terrorism remain in effect, requiring continued vigilance from compliance teams.
