Background

The International Trade Commission has recently announced the following actions in intellectual property rights infringement investigations. For more information on pursuing or mitigating IPR-related import restrictions, please contact ST&R.

Footwear – in investigation 337-TA-1270 of casual footwear and packaging thereof, issuance of limited exclusion order against four defaulting respondents and cease and desist orders against two defaulting respondents

Golf club parts – in investigation 337-TA-1354, issuance of limited exclusion order barring entry of universal golf club shaft and golf club head connection adaptors, certain components thereof, and products containing same that are imported by or on behalf of three respondents

Smart TVs – termination without import restrictions of investigation 337-TA-1338 of smart televisions based on a settlement between complainant Maxell Ltd. and the respondent, which is located in the U.S.

Water filters – termination without import restrictions of investigation 337-TA-1294 of high-performance water-fed water filters and products containing the same after determination of no Section 337 violation
