Imports of Pummelo from Vietnam Authorized

The Department of Agriculture’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service has decided to authorize imports of fresh pummelo fruit from Vietnam into the U.S. Such imports may be authorized beginning Oct. 4.

APHIS states that such imports will be subject to phytosanitary measures that will be listed here. They will also be subject to the general requirements listed in 7 CFR 319.56-3 that are applicable to the importation of all fruits and vegetables.

Import Restrictions Eased on Meat from Ireland

APHIS has announced its concurrence with the World Organization for Animal Health’s recognition of Ireland as being of negligible risk for bovine spongiform encephalopathy. This action eases associated restrictions on meat imports from this country.
