The Committee for the Implementation of Textile Agreements has received short supply requests alleging that certain woven wrinkle-free cotton/polyester and cotton/polyester/spandex fabrics, classified in HTSUS 5210.32.00, 5210.49.10, and 5210.59.10, are not available in commercial quantities in a timely manner from potential suppliers in the CAFTA-DR region.
The petitioners are requesting that these fabrics be added to the short supply list in Annex 3.25 of CAFTA-DR in unrestricted quantities, which would allow duty-free imports of apparel made in CAFTA-DR countries with these fabrics regardless of where they are sourced. Responses with an offer to supply these fabrics are due no later than Oct. 14.
