Background

The Consumer Product Safety Commission has issued a notice announcing its withdrawal of proposed regulatory changes on the following issues because it no longer intends to issue final rules.

- safety standard addressing blade contact injuries on table saws (proposed rule issued in May 2017)

- standard for recreational off-highway vehicles (advance notice of proposed rulemaking issued in October 2009
- safety standard for fire and debris penetration hazards for OHVs (proposed rule issued in July 2022)

- aerosol duster products containing more than 18 mg in any combination of HFC-152a and/or HFC-134a (proposed rule issued in July 2024)
