The International Trade Commission has recently announced the following actions in intellectual property rights infringement investigations. For more information on pursuing or mitigating IPR-related import restrictions, please contact ST&R.

Ceiling fans – institution of patent infringement investigation 337-TA-1374 of smart ceiling fans, components thereof, and associated systems and software thereof (complainant Wangs Alliance Corporation; respondents located in the U.S.)

Measurement devices – in investigation 337-TA-1276 of light-based physiological measurement devices and components thereof, issuance of (1) limited exclusion order prohibiting the unlicensed entry of infringing wearable electronic devices with light-based pulse oximetry functionality and components thereof covered by specified patents that are imported or manufactured by or on behalf of the respondent or any of its affiliated companies, parents, subsidiaries, or other related business entities, or its successor or assigns, and (2) a cease and desist order directed against that respondent

Tirzepatide – new IPR infringement complaint filed on products containing, and purporting to contain, tirzepatide (complainant Eli Lilly and Company; proposed respondents located in Hong Kong, the United Kingdom, Poland, Spain, China, and the U.S.)

Toys – initial determination of Section 337 violation in investigation 337-TA-1325 of soft projectile launching devices, components thereof, ammunition, and products containing same
