Background

CBP has corrected the import restrictions that are currently in place on certain archaeological and ethnological material from Ecuador to set a Feb. 11, 2025, expiration date to correspond with the date the import restrictions entered into force. These restrictions were originally established on Feb. 11, 2020 for a five-year period, and will therefore not expire on May 22, 2024, as had been previously indicated.

The designated list of goods covered by these import restrictions can be found here.
