Background

The International Trade Administration and/or International Trade Commission have recently announced the following actions in antidumping and/or countervailing duty cases. For more information on AD/CVD issues, including how to mitigate liability, please contact ST&R.

Electrical steel – sunset review determination that revocation of AD and/or CVD orders on non-oriented electrical steel from China, Germany, Japan, South Korea, Sweden, and Taiwan would be likely to lead to continuation or recurrence of material injury within a reasonably foreseeable time; these orders will therefore remain in effect

Rebar – issuance of AD order on steel concrete reinforcing bar from Algeria, effective April 29, with dumping margin of 127.32 percent

Tires – rescission of administrative review of AD order on passenger vehicle and light truck tires from Korea for the period July 1, 2024, through June 30, 2025, and instruction to CBP to assess AD duties on entries of subject goods at the applicable cash deposit rates

Wind towers – rescission of administrative review of CVD order on utility-scale wind towers from Canada for the period Jan. 1 through Dec. 31, 2024, and instruction to CBP to assess CVD duties on entries of subject goods at the applicable cash deposit rates

Wire rod – initiation of CVD investigation of carbon and alloy steel wire rod from Algeria, with May 18 deadline for comments on scope of investigation
