Background

Following are highlights of regulatory effective dates and deadlines and other trade-related events coming up in the next week.

March 6 – deadline for comments on application to expand subzone 78A at the Nissan North America Inc. facilities in Smyrna, Tenn.

March 6 – deadline for comments on notification of proposed production activity (regarding mineral amino acid chelates) at the Albion Laboratories Inc. facilities within FTZ 30 in Ogden, Utah

March 6 – deadline for comments on notification of proposed production activity (regarding lithium-ion battery energy storage systems) at the Corvus Energy USA Ltd. facility within FTZ 129 in Bellingham, Wash.

March 6 – effective date of USDA’s expansion of electronic export system

March 7 – deadline for comments to USTR on whether to extend some or all of the China tariff exclusions for COVID-related goods

March 8 – comments due to DOC on Automated Export System information collection

March 9 – comments due to APHIS on potential authorization of imports of passionfruit, sweet granadilla, banana passionfruit, fresh blueberries, highbush blueberries, Andean blueberries, and rabbiteye blueberries from Colombia

March 9 – deadline for requests to appear at ITC hearing in connection with biennial report on the economic impact of the Caribbean Basin Economic Recovery Act

March 10 – effective date of increase to 200 percent of Section 232 tariff on aluminum articles and derivative aluminum articles that are the product of Russia

March 10 – comments due to CBP on proposed reclassification of certain white noise machines and reflective panels
