Background

The Office of the U.S. Trade Representative is allocating as follows the 125,000 metric tons raw value recently added to the fiscal year 2024 tariff-rate quota for imported raw cane sugar.

Bolivia – 1,499 MTRV

Brazil – 27,174 MTRV

Colombia – 4,498 MTRV

Costa Rica – 2,811 MTRV

Ecuador – 2,061 MTRV

El Salvador – 4,873 MTRV

Eswatini – 2,998 MTRV

Fiji – 1,687 MTRV

Guatemala – 8,996 MTRV

Guyana – 2,249 MTRV

Honduras – 1,874 MTRV

Jamaica – 2,061 MTRV

Mozambique – 2,438 MTRV

Peru – 7,684 MTRV

Philippines – 25,300 MTRV

South Africa – 4,310 MTRV

Thailand – 2,624 MTRV

Zimbabwe – 2,249 MTRV

USTR notes that allocations to countries that are net importers of sugar are conditioned on receipt of the appropriate verifications of origin and that certificates for quota eligibility must accompany imports from any country for which an allocation has been provided.
