Background

The Department of Agriculture’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service has determined to classify the state of Sonora, Mexico, as Level I for brucellosis. This determination will effectively exempt sexually intact cattle from Sonora from brucellosis testing prior to export to the U.S. Imports under this determination may be authorized beginning March 7.
