U.S. Customs and Border Protection is issuing monthly updates of various trade statistics. Highlights for February 2025 (compared to the previous month) include the following.
- processed more than 2.7 million entry summaries (down 6.9 percent) valued at more than $303 billion (down 10.4 percent)
- identified estimated duties of nearly $7.6 billion (down 3.8 percent) to be collected by the U.S. government
- stopped 1,024 shipments (down 48.4 percent) valued at more than $9.73 million (down 25.2 percent) for further examination based on the suspected use of forced labor
- seized 1,815 shipments (down 8.2 percent) that contained counterfeit goods valued at more than $525 million (up 80.4 percent)
- completed 28 audits (down 6.7 percent) that identified $2.9 million (down 95.9 percent) in duties and fees owed to the U.S. government
- collected over $74.5 million (down 89.4 percent) of this identified revenue and from previous fiscal years’ assignments
