Background

The International Trade Commission has recently announced the following actions in intellectual property rights infringement investigations. For more information on pursuing or mitigating IPR-related import restrictions, please contact ST&R.

Cellular equipment – termination without import restrictions of investigation 337-TA-1388 of cellular base station communication equipment, components thereof, and products containing same based on a patent license agreement between complainant Motorola Mobility LLC and respondents, which are located in Sweden and the U.S.

Diamond compacts – request for written submissions following a remand from the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit of investigation 337-TA-1236 of polycrystalline diamond compacts and articles containing same

Skin care devices – in investigation 337-TA-1356, issuance of (1) limited exclusion order prohibiting the unlicensed importation of dermatological treatment devices and components thereof that infringe one or more specified patent claims, (2) cease and desist orders against three respondents in Israel in the U.S., and (3) requirement for a bond of 70-85 percent for imports of infringing products
