Background

The International Trade Administration and/or International Trade Commission have recently announced the following actions in antidumping and/or countervailing duty cases. For more information on AD/CVD issues, including how to mitigate liability, please contact STR.

Fish fillets – continuation of AD order on frozen fish fillets from Vietnam, effective June 24

Matchbooks – continuation of AD and CVD orders on commodity matchbooks from India, effective June 15

Monomers – final affirmative AD injury determination on multifunctional acrylate and methacrylate monomers and oligomers from South Korea; an AD order will be issued as a result

Silicon metal – (1) final affirmative AD and CVD determinations on silicon metal from Australia and Norway, with dumping margins of 6.16 percent for Australia and 2.47 percent for Norway and net subsidy rates of 32.57 percent for Australia and 17.27 percent for Norway, and (2) sunset review determination that revocation of CVD order on silicon metal from Kazakhstan would be likely to lead to continuation or recurrence of countervailable subsidies at the rate of 160.0 percent

Twist ties – sunset review determinations that revocation of AD and CVD orders on twist ties from China would be likely to lead to continuation or recurrence of dumping at margins up to 72.96 percent and countervailable subsidies at the rate of 111.96 percent
