The International Trade Commission has recently announced the following actions in intellectual property rights infringement investigations that could affect imports of covered products. For more information on pursuing or mitigating IPR-related import restrictions, please contact ST&R.

Nasal devices – request for public comments on remedy, the public interest, and bonding in patent infringement investigation 337-TA-1444 of nasal devices and components thereof (complainant Aardvark Medical Inc.; respondents located in China and the U.S.)

Oil vaporizers – in patent infringement investigation 337-TA-1392 of oil vaporizing devices, components thereof, and products containing the same, issuance of (1) a limited exclusion order prohibiting the unlicensed entry of infringing goods imported or manufactured by or on behalf of the respondents and (2) cease and desist orders against two respondents

Synthetic hair – institution of formal enforcement proceeding relating to the limited exclusion and cease and desist orders issued in investigation 337-TA-1415 of pre-stretched synthetic braiding hair and packaging therefor

Video-capable devices – institution of patent infringement investigation 337-TA-1481 of video-capable electronic devices (complainants InterDigital Inc. and InterDigital VC Holdings Inc.; respondents located in the U.S.)
