The Foreign-Trade Zones Board has received from Microchip Technology Inc., a notification of proposed production activity for its facilities within subzone 75H in Chandler and Tempe, Ariz. Microchip already has authority to produce semiconductor devices and related products within these facilities and the current request would add foreign-status materials and components to the scope of authority. Comments on this notification are due no later than Oct. 15.

The FTZ Board has authorized an expansion of production authority at the Takasago International Corp. (U.S.A.) facility within FTZ 37 in Harriman, N.Y. Takasago already had authority to produce fragrances within site 10 of FTZ 37 and the Board has now added additional foreign status components of essential oils and aromatic chemicals to the scope of authority.
