Imports of Mango and Oha Leaves Authorized

The Department of Agriculture’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service has authorized the importation of fresh mango from Grenada and fresh Oha leaves from Nigeria beginning Feb. 15, 2023. Such imports will be subject to one or more designated phytosanitary measures that will be found here.

Pork Imports from Two Countries Restricted

APHIS has added Thailand and North Macedonia to the list of regions affected by African swine fever. Thailand was added Jan. 20, 2022, and North Macedonia was added Feb. 3, 2022.

USDA regulations prohibit the importation of pork and pork products from regions in which African swine fever exists, except if processed and treated in accordance with the provisions specified in the regulations or consigned to an APHIS-approved establishment for further processing. USDA regulations also restrict imports of swine casings that originated in or were processed in a region where African swine fever exists.
