The International Trade Commission has recently announced the following actions in intellectual property rights infringement investigations that could affect imports of covered products. For more information on pursuing or mitigating IPR-related import restrictions, please contact ST&R.

Batteries – issuance of limited exclusion order in investigation 337-TA-1421 prohibiting entry of rechargeable batteries and components thereof by or on behalf of a respondent previously found to be in default

Light therapy systems – final initial determination of Section 337 violation in investigation 337-TA-1411 of photodynamic therapy systems, components thereof, and pharmaceutical products used in combination with same (complainant Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Inc.; respondents located in Germany and the U.S.)

Memory chips – new IPR infringement complaint filed on NAND and DRAM memory chips (complainant MonolithIC 3D Inc.; proposed respondents located in Japan, South Korea, and the U.S.)

RAM – new IPR infringement complaint filed on magnetoresistive random access memory devices, products containing the same, and components thereof (complainant Avalanche Technology Inc.; proposed respondent located in the U.S.)
