Background

The International Trade Administration and/or International Trade Commission have recently announced the following actions in antidumping and/or countervailing duty cases. For more information on AD/CV duty issues, including how to mitigate liability, please contact attorney Kristen Smith at (202) 730-4965 or via email.

Engines – initiation of review to determine if Honda Power Products (China) Co. Ltd. is the successor-in-interest to Jialing-Honda Motors Co. Ltd. for purposes of the AD duty order on vertical shaft engines between 225cc and 999cc and parts thereof from China and therefore entitled to its cash deposit rate, which is currently 261.93 percent

Pipes and tubes – initiation of inquiry into whether imports of welded carbon steel standard pipes and tubes completed in Oman and the United Arab Emirates from hot-rolled steel produced in India are circumventing the AD duty order on pipe and tube from India

PTFE resin – final affirmative AD and CV injury determinations on granular polytetrafluoroethylene resin from India and Russia

Scope rulings – requests received in January to determine whether identified products are covered by the scope of the following AD/CV duty orders

- steel trailer wheels 12 to 16.5 inches from China (AD/CV)

- wood moldings and millwork products from China (AD/CV)

Steel pipe – sunset review determination that revocation of AD duty orders on circular welded carbon-quality steel pipe from Oman, Pakistan, and the United Arab Emirates would likely lead to a continuation or recurrence of dumping at margins up to 7.36 percent for Oman, 11.8 percent for Pakistan, and 6.43 percent for the UAE
