The Bureau of Industry and Security has issued an order suspending for seven years the export privileges of an individual convicted of knowingly and willfully exporting firearms that were designated as defense articles on the U.S. Munitions List to Canada without the required State Department license. This man was previously sentenced to 51 months in prison and a $200 assessment.
As a result, until Sept. 4, 2025, neither this man nor anyone acting on his behalf may directly or indirectly participate in any way in any transaction involving any commodity, software, or technology exported or to be exported from the U.S. that is subject to the Export Administration Regulations. BIS is also revoking all export licenses in which this man had an interest at the time of his conviction.
