Background

The Bureau of Industry and Security’s Materials Technical Advisory Committee will hold a partially open meeting Sept. 7 in Washington, D.C. This committee advises BIS on technical questions that affect the level of export controls applicable to materials and related technology.

The open session of the Sept. 7 meeting will include presentations on validated end-users and semiconductors and reports by regime representatives and working groups (composite, pumps and valves, bio, public domain, chemicals). This session will be accessible via teleconference to 20 participants on a first come, first served basis, and requests to join the conference are due by Aug. 31. In addition, a limited number of seats will be available at the public session, but reservations are not accepted.
