The International Trade Commission has recently announced the following actions in intellectual property rights infringement investigations. For more information on pursuing or mitigating IPR-related import restrictions, please contact ST&R.

Cellular equipment – new IPR infringement complaint against cellular base station communication equipment, components thereof, and products containing same (complainant Motorola Mobility LLC; proposed respondents located in Sweden and the U.S.)

Cleaners – following a determination of Section 337 violation in investigation 337-TA-1304, issuance of limited exclusion order prohibiting respondents from importing wet-dry surface cleaning devices that infringe one or more specified patent claims as well as cease and desist orders against each respondent

Computing devices – institution of patent infringement investigation 337-TA-1382 of electronic computing devices and components thereof (complainant Lenovo (United States) Inc.; respondents located in Taiwan and the U.S.)

Vaping devices – institution of IPR infringement investigation 337-TA-1381 of disposable vaporizer devices and components and packing thereof (complainants R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company and R.J. Reynolds Vapor Company; respondents located in China and the U.S.)
