Background

The Drug Enforcement Administration is accepting comments through Jan. 12 on a proposed rule that would place the synthetic cannabinoid CUMYLPEGACLONE (SGT-151; 5-pentyl-2-(2-phenylpropan-2-yl)pyrido[4,3-b]indol-1-one), including its salts, isomers (including optical, positional, and geometric isomers), and salts of isomers, in schedule I of the Controlled Substances Act.

This rule would permanently impose the regulatory controls and administrative, civil, and criminal sanctions applicable to schedule I substances on persons who import, export, manufacture, distribute, reverse distribute, engage in research, conduct instruction activities or chemical analysis with, or possess this substance.
