Background

U.S. Customs and Border Protection is seeking comments by Jan. 31 on the proposed extension or revision of the following information collections.

- form 3229, certificate of origin used to declare that imported goods are grown or the product of a U.S. insular possession and/or produced or manufactured in a U.S. insular possession from material grown in or the product of such possession (comments due by Jan. 31)

- form 4609, petition for remission or mitigation of forfeitures and penalties incurred (comments due by Jan. 31)
