The International Trade Commission has recently announced the following actions in intellectual property rights infringement investigations that could affect imports of covered products. For more information on pursuing or mitigating IPR-related import restrictions, please contact ST&R.

Batteries – termination of investigation 337-TA-1421 of rechargeable batteries and components thereof with respect to last active respondents based on settlement

Car seats – institution of patent infringement investigation 337-TA-1459 of child car seats (complainants Wonderland Switzerland AG, Iron Mountains LLC, Nuna International B.V., Nuna Baby Essentials Inc., Joie International Co. Ltd., Joie Children’s Products Inc., and Graco Children’s Products Inc.; respondents located in Canada, China, Hong Kong, and the U.S.)

Wearable devices – in investigation 337-TA-1398, issuance of (1) limited exclusion order prohibiting the unlicensed entry of infringing smart wearable devices, systems, and components thereof that are imported or manufactured by or on behalf of the respondents and (2) cease and desist orders against five respondents
