The State Department and the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative have provided notice of the following meetings under the CAFTA-DR and the U.S.-Peru Trade Promotion Agreement.
CAFTA-DR
The fifteenth meeting of the Environmental Affairs Council established under Chapter 17 (environment) of the CAFTA-DR will be held Oct. 6-7 in Washington, D.C. (the public session of the meeting will take place Oct. 7). At the session, the Council will welcome questions, input, and information about challenges and achievements in the implementation of the environment chapter obligations and the related environmental cooperation agreement.
U.S.-Peru TPA
The eighth meeting of the Environmental Affairs Council, the tenth meeting of the Sub-Committee on Forest Sector Governance, and the sixth meeting of the Environmental Cooperation Commission will be held Sept. 12-13 (the public sessions of these meetings will take place Sept. 13). The purpose of the three meetings is to review implementation of Chapter 18 (environment) of the U.S.-Peru TPA, the annex on forest sector governance (Annex 18.3.4), and the U.S.-Peru Environmental Cooperation Agreement, respectively. Interested persons may attend the public sessions and submit written comments or ask questions regarding the implementation of these disciplines.
