U.S. Customs and Border Protection is issuing monthly updates of various trade statistics. Highlights for March 2025 (compared to February) include the following.
- processed more than three million entry summaries (up 11.1 percent) valued at more than $352 billion (up 16.2 percent)
- identified estimated duties of nearly $15 billion (up 97.4 percent) to be collected by the U.S. government
- stopped 434 shipments (down 57.6 percent) valued at more than $2.3 million (down 76.4 percent) for further examination based on the suspected use of forced labor
- seized 1,827 shipments (up 0.7 percent) that contained counterfeit goods valued at more than $913 million (up 73.9 percent)
- completed 71 audits (up 153.6 percent) that identified $310 million (up 10,589 percent) in duties and fees owed to the U.S. government
- collected over $49 million (down 34.2 percent) of this identified revenue and from previous fiscal years’ assignments
