Hydrofluorocarbon Blends. The International Trade Commission has given notice of a court-ordered remand of its final antidumping injury determination on hydrofluorocarbon blends and components from China. The petitioners are challenging the ITC’s determination that there were two domestic like products consisting of HFC blends and HFC components. Comments are due by Jan. 7.
Silicomanganese. Effective Dec. 12, the International Trade Administration is continuing the AD duty orders on silicomanganese from China and Ukraine.
Silicomanganese is a ferroalloy composed principally of manganese, silicon, and iron that normally contains much smaller proportions of minor elements, such as carbon, phosphorous, and sulfur. Silicomanganese is used primarily in steel production as a source of both silicon and manganese. All compositions, forms, and sizes of silicomanganese are included within the scope of these orders, including silicomanganese slag, fines, and briquettes. Silicomanganese is currently classifiable under HTSUS 7202.30.0000 but may also be classifiable under HTSUS 7202.99.5040.
Pressure Pipe. In the preliminary results of its administrative review of the AD duty order on welded stainless pressure pipe from China for the period May 10, 2016, through Oct. 31, 2017, the ITA has determined weighted average dumping margins of 2.03 percent to 7.19 percent.
Bedroom Furniture. In the preliminary results of its administrative review of the AD duty order on wooden bedroom furniture from China for the period Jan. 1 through Dec. 31, 2017, the ITA has determined that eight companies have not established their entitlement to a separate rate and are part of the China-wide entity (which is currently subject to an AD duty rate of 216.01 percent) and that five other companies had no reviewable transactions during the period of review.
Quartz Surface Products. The ITC has scheduled the final phase of its AD and CV injury investigations of quartz surface products from China. A hearing will be held April 4, requests to appear at the hearing are due March 29, pre-hearing briefs are due March 21, post-hearing briefs are due April 11, and final comments are due May 3.
