Digital trade. The Protecting American Streaming and Innovation Act (H.R. 8025, introduced March 19 by Rep. Smucker, R-Pa.) would provide for a Section 301 investigation of Canadian digital trade practices, which could result in tariffs or other restrictions on imports from Canada.
Exports. H.R. 7962 (introduced March 17 by Rep. McCormick, R-Ga.) would amend the Export Control Reform Act of 2018 relating to the review of the interagency dispute resolution process.
Shipping. H.R. 7084 (introduced March 20 by Rep. Pfluger, R-Texas) would amend 19 USC 46 with respect to the types of vessels that may enter or operate in U.S. navigable waters or transfer cargo in any port or place under U.S. jurisdiction.
