In May of this year the Trump Administration in its trade war with China took a significant step to increase pressure on the negotiations by adding the Chinese telecom giant Huawei to the U.S. Department of Commerce entity list. This move severely restricted the ability of U.S. Companies to export, re-export or transfer commodities, software, technology to Huawei. It has impacted the venue and supply chains of many U.S. Technology companies and lead those with non-U.S. base manufacturers sites to work to identify if their foreign made products are subjected to U.S. jurisdiction and the restrictions and of dealing with Huawei.
