Just as we thought the détente with China might bring some relief, the President issues a new list of products from the EU valued at $4 billion that may be subject to tariffs. The US challenged the EU policy of subsidizing its large civil aircraft (Airbus) manufacturing and won the case. The WTO Arbitrator is expected to issue its decision on how much the US is entitled to in response. That report is due in August and these lists set out the possibilities of goods to be tariffed.
