Two Minutes in Trade - How Powerful is Your Power of Attorney?

The trade community recently received some mixed messages from CBP when it sent out a public bulletin advising that numerous individual and corporate brokerages were non-compliant with Power of Attorney requirements. Although CBP retraced the notice, this underscored the need for importers and customs brokers as well as exporters and forwarding agents to confirm whether their POAs still are valid.
