Exports Through Hidden Marketplace Net Prison Sentence

The Department of Justice announced Jan. 30 that the sentencing of a U.S. man to 52 months in prison for his role in the illegal exportation of firearms to Ireland, England, Scotland, and Australia. The man admitted using a hidden Internet marketplace where users can traffic anonymously in illegal goods to unlawfully export or attempt to export pistols, revolvers, UZIs, Glocks, magazines, and hundreds of rounds of ammunition. In addition to the prison sentence he was ordered to forfeit all the firearms and ammunition seized by law enforcement during the investigation.
