WASHINGTON—The Council for Responsible Nutrition (CRN) and VIRGO Publishing (owner of Natural Products INSIDER) announced the details for an industry-wide webinar focusing on three regulatory initiatives: FDA's guidance on investigational new drug (IND) applications, new proposed rules under the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) and FTC's views on claims substantiation and more. The two-hour webinar, "Spring Regulatory Roundup: INDs, FSMA, FTC," will take place on Wednesday, April 23 at 2 p.m. EST.
The webinar will offer participants a better understanding of current regulatory hot topics from experts who will share their insights and arm participants with the knowledge to face regulatory changes and opportunities, while following the law. Presenters include: Richard Cleland, assistant director, Division of Advertising Practices, FTC; Shelly Garg , associate, FDA Practice Group, Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg; Jennifer McEntire, Ph.D., vice president and chief science officer, The Acheson Group; and Jennifer Schwartz, associate, Covington & Burling.
The registration fee, $149 for CRN members and $199 for non-members, is a per registration site fee, so multiple people may participate form a single site.
