Job Description
Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Summer Associate to join our team. This position provides law students with an opportunity to learn about our firm’s culture, our practice areas with hands-on legal experience, and the opportunity to work closely with attorneys on client matters.
The Summer Associate will gain practical insight into international trade, customs, export controls, and related regulatory matters, while developing research, writing, and analytical skills in a collaborative and professional environment. This could include, but is not limited to:
Responsibilities
- Conduct legal research and analysis on matters involving customs law, international trade regulations, export controls, and related federal regulatory issues.
- Draft memoranda, client alerts, summaries of regulatory developments, and internal research materials.
- Review and analyze regulatory rulings, agency guidance, and relevant case law.
- Support due diligence projects and compliance reviews.
- Collaborate with attorneys and staff across practice groups as needed.
- Perform additional duties as required by the Practice Group.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled and good standing with an accredited law school.
- Strong academic credentials.
- Excellent legal research and writing skills.
- Strong analytical ability and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
