About The Webinar

The first session of the 118th Congress was eventful, to say the least. It was a year of tumult and change. A new majority in the House, a new Speaker in the House… then another new Speaker of the House. As we enter an election year the question remains - how much legislation can get passed this year, and specifically, how much trade legislation?

All indications are that Congress is ramping up to pass trade legislation that may include reauthorization of the Generalized System of Preferences, Section 321 reform, and China trade-related action. Join us as we discuss this potential trade package as well as other topics such as:

  • The structure of the 118th Congress: leadership, membership and turnover
  • The new Congressional “Trade Consensus”
  • What trade issues will not be in the trade package
  • Other legislative/administrative actions affecting trade
