Canada has made a number of important changes to its trade preference programs for developing and least-developed countries that will enter into force Jan. 1, 2025. These include changes to the list of countries that benefit from preferential duty treatment as well as substantial modifications to the applicable rules of origin, including those for apparel, which will generally be more flexible and easier to fulfill.
