The Foreign-Trade Zones Board has announced that applications to the Board should henceforth be submitted solely in electronic form via email to email@example.com. Current regulations concerning the authorization and regulation of FTZs and zone activity require applicants to submit an original and one copy of the application as well as an electronic copy. However, the Board is now removing the paper application requirement to reduce the burden on applicants and facilitate a full transition to an electronic application process.
For more information on how FTZs can benefit your business, please contact customs and trade attorneys Lenny Feldman at (305) 894-1011 or Tom Gould at (213) 453-0897.
