CHRISTINA LEONARD is a Member with Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg. Ms. Leonard advises domestic and multinational clients on customs compliance and international trade.  Her practice includes tariff classification, country of origin marking, valuation, trade preference programs, duty refunds, first sale, penalty mitigation, protests and prior disclosures. She also advises clients on duty-saving opportunities and strategic responses to China Section 301 tariffs.

Prior to joining ST&R, Ms. Leonard served for a decade with an international trade and customs firm, representing clients in U.S. Customs audits, Consumer Product Safety Commission recalls and Department of Commerce Section 232 duties, among other matters. During law school, her legal internships included positions at the U.S. Court of International Trade, U.S. Customs & Border Protection and the multinational Chanel, Inc. Prior to law school, she served for four years as an associate with Charles River Associates, an international economic consulting firm, where she specialized in mergers and antitrust. 

Ms. Leonard is a member of the bar in the state of New York and is admitted to appear before the U.S. Court of International Trade. She previously served on the International Trade Committee of the New York City Bar Association. She holds a J.D. from Brooklyn Law School, a B.A. from Wellesley College and a General Course Degree from the London School of Economics.
