AD/CVD News: Carbon Bricks, Ironing Tables, Lockers, Nails, Pipe and Tube

The International Trade Administration and/or International Trade Commission have recently announced the following actions in antidumping and/or countervailing duty cases. For more information on AD/CVD issues, including how to mitigate liability, please contact STR.

Carbon bricks – sunset review determinations that revocation of AD and/or CVD orders on magnesia carbon bricks from China and Mexico would be likely to lead to continuation or recurrence of (1) dumping at margins up to 236.0 percent for China and 57.9 percent for Mexico and (2) countervailable subsidies at rates of 3.0 and 232.63 percent for China

Ironing tables – sunset review determination that revocation of AD order on floor-standing, metal-top ironing tables and parts thereof from China would be likely to lead to continuation or recurrence of dumping at margins up to 157.68 percent

Lockers – sunset review determination that revocation of AD and CVD orders on metal lockers and parts thereof from China would be likely to lead to continuation or recurrence of (1) dumping at margins up to 322.25 percent and (2) countervailable subsidies at rates of 24.66 and 131.51 percent

Nails – dumping margin of 9.27 percent in preliminary results of administrative review of AD order on steel nails from China for the period Aug. 1, 2024, through July 31, 2025

Pipe and tube – rescission of administrative review of AD order on light-walled rectangular pipe and tube from China for the period Aug. 1, 2024, through July 31, 2025, with respect to 39 companies and instruction to CBP to assess AD duties on entries of subject goods at the applicable cash deposit rates
