Leading international trade, customs, and export law firm Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg, P.A., announced today that Mika McLafferty will be joining the firm as a member in the firm’s New York office.

“Today’s trade environment is more uncertain than ever, with trade wars, tariff increases, and greater enforcement on everything from forced labor to intellectual property rights,” said firm Operating Committee member Charles Crowley. “ST&R is a leader in helping the trade community not only survive but thrive in these unpredictable circumstances, and that’s due to the expertise and acumen of our top-notch attorneys and professionals. Mika’s talent and experience make her a great addition to our team.”

She also helps clients with developing and implementing internal compliance and duty savings programs, filing protests seeking duty refunds, filing prior disclosures where errors have been made, requesting binding rulings, and seeking tariff exclusions. Her assistance has led to millions of dollars in duty refunds for importers of various product categories.
