Background

The International Trade Administration and/or International Trade Commission have recently announced the following actions in antidumping and/or countervailing duty cases. For more information on AD/CVD issues, including how to mitigate liability, please contact ST&R.

Methionine – dumping margin of 7.11 percent in preliminary results of administrative review of AD order on methionine from Spain for the period Sept. 1, 2023, through Aug. 31, 2024

PET film – sunset review determination that revocation of AD and/or CVD orders on polyethylene terephthalate film, sheet, and strip from China, India, Taiwan, and the United Arab Emirates would likely lead to continuation or recurrence of material injury within a reasonably foreseeable time

Rebar – sunset review determination that revocation of AD order on steel concrete reinforcing bar from Mexico would be likely to lead to continuation or recurrence of dumping at margins up to 66.7 percent

Shelving – sunset review determination that revocation of AD and CVD orders on kitchen appliance shelving and racks from China would be likely to lead to continuation or recurrence of dumping at margins up to 95.99 percent and countervailable subsidies of 19.13 to 175.03 percent

Tires – amended ruling that T-type tires are included in the scope of the AD order on passenger vehicle and light truck tires from Taiwan
