AD/CVD News: Brass Rod, Mowers, Plywood, Steel Grating, Scope Rulings

The International Trade Administration and/or International Trade Commission have recently announced the following actions in antidumping and/or countervailing duty cases. For more information on AD/CVD issues, including how to mitigate liability, please contact STR.

Brass rod – dumping margin of 22.07 percent in preliminary results of administrative review of AD order on brass rod from Brazil for the period Dec. 1, 2023, through May 31, 2025

Mowers – revocation of AD/CVD orders on walk-behind lawn mowers and parts thereof from China and Vietnam, effective Sept. 8

Plywood – final affirmative AD and CVD injury determinations on hardwood and decorative plywood from China, Indonesia, and Vietnam

Scope applications – applications filed in July for rulings on the scope of the following AD/CVD orders

– aluminum extrusions from China (AD/CVD)

– cold-drawn mechanical tubing of carbon and alloy steel from China and India (AD/CVD)

– mattresses from Mexico (AD)

Steel grating – sunset review determination that revocation of CVD order on steel grating from China would be likely to lead to continuation or recurrence of countervailable subsidies at the rate of 62.46 percent
